Question: What is the cost of purchasing a Subscription? Answer: The cost of a Subscription is $14.95 per month or $49.50 for one year. Question: What happens when I purchase a Subscription from AllQuizzes.Net? Answer: Within 1-4 hours (and usually much sooner than that) of the time I am notified by PayPal of your payment, I will send you a Welcome Email. The Welcome Email will be sent to you from pollywick@comcast.net. The Welcome Email will contain a User Name and Password which you can use to access ALL of the quizzes available at AllQuizzes.Net. Question: Will I be subject to recurring payments when I purchase a Subscription? Answer: All transactions at AllQuizzes.Net are made through PayPal. If you purchase a One-Month Subscription, then each month, PayPal will automatically deduct your monthly fee of $14.95 from the funding source you provided when you purchased your Subscription. If you purchased a One Year Subscription, then PayPal will automatically deduct your yearly fee of $49.95 from the funding source you provided when you purchased your Subscription. If you do not wish to continue renewing your Subscription each month or each year, you can simply cancel your subscription at any time before your next billing date. When you cancel your Subscription will remain active for one month or one year (depending on which type of subscription you purchased) from the day that your payment was received. Once you have cancelled, you will not be billed again unless you purchase a new Subscription. Question: Is there a minimum committment? Answer: There is no minimum committment. You can easily cancel your Subscription at any time, and then you will never be charged again. Question: How do I cancel my Subscription? Answer: There are two ways to cancel your Subscription, as follows: Cancel your Subscription through your PayPal Account: Here's how: 1. Log in to your PayPal account. 2. Click Profile near the top of the page. 3. Click My money. 4. Click Update in the My preapproved payments section. 5. Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions. Cancel your Subscription through Email. Send me an email at: pollywick@comcast.net. In your email, state that you would like to cancel your account or simply put the words "cancel subscription" in the subject line of your email. When you cancel your Subscription, you will receive a confirmation email either from me or from PayPal. If you have not received a confirmation email--either from me or from PayPal--then yor Subscription has not been cancelled. When you cancel your Subscription, please retain the confirmation email for your records. Question: What happens when I cancel my Subscription? Answer: When you cancel your Subscription, your User Name and Password will remain active until the end of your Subscription period. For example, if you purchased a monthly Subscription, your User Name and Password would remain active until 30 days after the date your payment was received for a given month. If you purchased a Yearly Subscription, your User Name and Password would remain active for one full year after that your payment was received for a given year. Once you have cancelled your Subscription, you have de-activated recurring billing. When your Subscription month (or year) is up, your User Name and Password will be deactivated, and you will not be billed for an additional month or year. Question: I don't have access to computers in my classroom. However, I want to print out the quizzes so that my students can take them as pencil and paper quizzes. How do I do this? Answer: The quizzes offered at AllQuizzes.Net are ONLINE quizzes and not printable quizzes. However, if you are interested in obtaining printable quizzes, you might want to consider purchasing my book, Quizzes for 220 Great Children's Books, published by Greenwood Publishing. Question: I forgot my User Name and Password. What should I do? Answer: It's not a problem! Just email me and let me know that you've misplaced your User Name and Password. Please send the email from the email address that was associated with your PayPal account when you purchased the Access Pass. I will then forward your original Welcome Email, which contains your log-in information, to you. Question: I've been using the User Name and Password I received at the end of my PayPal checkout and all of a sudden, that User Name and Password is not working. What should I do? Answer: The User Name and Password you received at the completion of your PayPal checkout was a temporary User Name and Password that was eventually disabled, which is why it is no longer working for you. Please check your files for the Welcome Email that was sent to you when you purchased your Subscription. If you no longer have that email, please follow the instructions provided in Question #2 above, and I will re-send your Welcome Email. Question: What is your refund policy? Answer: To request a refund, please contact me through email. Refunds are prorated at the rate of $3.00 for the first day and 2.00 per day for each day after that. Your refund will be issued through PayPal. Question: Do you collect financial information about your customers? Answer: No. All transactions are made securely online through PayPal. As a PayPal merchant, I will never see your financial information. Question: What are the technical requirements for viewing the quizzes on my computer? Answer: No. You will need the Flash Player 6.0 79 or higher. At this time, you will not be able to access the quizzes on your Ipad 1 or 2. The reason for this is that unfortunately, Apple does not currently allow its Ipad users to access Flash content. Question: Are there any limitations on the use of the quizzes? Answer: Yes. All of the quizzes at AllQuizzes.Net (including the Sample Quizzes, the Chapter and Book Section Quizzes, and the Whole Book Quizzes) are protected by copyright and can be used for classroom or home use only. Reproduction and/or redistribution of the quizzes in any form is strictly prohibited. By the same token, the User Name and Password you receive when you purchase an Access Pass is for your use only and should not be publicized or given out to others in any form. Posting your User Name and Password on the Internet in any form is strictly prohibited. Question: May I share my Subscription with another teacher? Answer: No. Each Subscription is to be used only by one teacher and by that teacher's current students. Question: I am a teacher, and I would like to have my students take the quizzes at home. Is this allowed? Answer: If you would like for your students to take the quizzes at home, then each student's family must purchase a Subscription for home use. Question: What should I do if I find an error in one of the quizzes? Answer: If you find an error in one of the quizzes, I would greatly appreciate it if you would email me. That way, I can correct the error right away. Question: I want my students to read books listed at AllQuizzes.Net and then to take the quizzes as a comprehension check. I would like to keep the quizzes secure so that the students are not accessing the quizzes at home, studying the quizzes, and then taking the quizzes in class. Is there a way that I can keep my students from accessing the quizzes at home? Answer: Yes. The best way to keep the Book Quizzes secure is to refrain from giving out the User Name and Password. This means that when you are ready for a student to take a quiz, you will have to enter the User Name and Password on the Menu page for the quiz being taken. As long as you do not give out the User Name and Password, students will only be able to access the quizzes in the classroom. Question: Can I take a look at your Terms of Use? Answer: You sure can. The Terms of Use are right here. Question: How is the AllQuizzes.Net program different from the Renaissance Program (or the A.R. Program)? I am a teacher, and I already have access to the A.R. program through my district. Will AllQuizzes.Net still be a useful resource for me? Answer: The quizzes provided at AllQuizzes.Net are similar to the A.R. quizzes provided at Renaissance in that each quiz contains 10-20 Multiple Choice Questions that test a student's comprehension of a given book. However, the quizzes provided at AllQuizzes.Net are not duplicates of A.R. quizzes. I personally read each and every one of the books included in my program, and I write original quizzes for each book. AllQuizzes.Net differs from the A.R. program in at least two significant ways: a. AllQuizzes.Net DOES NOT have nearly the number of quizzes available that the A.R. program has. (Renaissance offers quizzes over thousands of books.) Also, AllQuizzes.Net DOES NOT provide automatic individual tracking of points and progress for students. b. AllQuizzes.Net DOES offer high-quality, original, self-grading, online whole book comprehension quizzes along with a growing selection of chapter and book section quizzes. If you already have access to the Renaissance (A.R.) program through your school--and you are not interested in chapter and book section quizzes--then AllQuizzes.Net is not going to be a valuable resource for you. The Renaissance A.R. program is a wonderful, highly effective program. However, many school districts cannot afford to purchase access to it. AllQuizzes.Net is meant to provide an affordable, high-quality alternative for school districts, homeschooling parents, and others who cannot afford to purchase access to the Renaissance program but would still like to use online comprehension quizzes as a way to help build reading comprehension. AllQuizzes.Net is also a very useful resource for parents who would like to monitor their child's comprehension of a given book before their child takes an A.R. test at school. Students often experience a great deal of anxiety before taking an A.R. test at school. Taking and passing an alternative test before taking a test at school can help children to feel more confident, and thus to perform better, on high-stakes tests in the classroom. Question: Can the quizzes provided at AllQuizzes.Net help my child pass an A.R. test at school? Answer: While I cannot, in any way, guarantee that the quizzes provided at AllQuizzes.Net will help your child pass an A.R. test at school, many parents do report that the quizzes are an effective tool in that regard. By taking comprehension quizzes at home before taking a high-stakes A.R. test at school, children are able to go into a testing situation at school with a greater level of confidence, which can be extremely useful in achieving the desired outcome. Not only can the quizzes provided at AllQuizzes.Net help children to have increased confidence (and therefore, less anxiety) about their ability to pass an AR test at school, but by tracking their child's performance on chapter and/or book section quizzes as the child is reading a given book, parents are also able to have increased confidence (and less anxiety) about their child's performance on an upcoming AR test or reading comprehension test at school. Answer: Your Welcome Email will be sent from pollywick@comcast.net. If you have NOT received a Welcome Email within 4 hours after making your purchase, please check the following: a. The most common reason that a customer does not receive his or her Welcome Email is because he or she is no longer using the email address that is associated with his or her PayPal account. If you did not receive a Welcome Email within a couple of hours after making your purchase, please check to see that the email address you have associated with your PayPal account is the email address you are currently using. This is a common error. When I receive notification from PayPal about your payment, I am given the email address that you have associated with your PayPal account. Your Welcome Email will be sent to that email address. If you are no longer using that email address, you need to email me so that I will know the email address at which you would like to receive your Welcome Email. b. Check your Screened or Spam mail folder to make sure the Welcome Email did not inadvertently get placed there. If you have checked the above, and you still haven't received your Welcome Email, please contact me through email. Don't feel like you have to wait for a day or two days or more. I usually send out Welcome Emails within an hour or two after I have received confirmation of a payment. If you haven't received your Welcome Email for 8 hours after making a payment, that means that for one reason or another, the Welcome Email that was sent out to you did not go through. In this case, I definitely want to hear from you. Customer service is very important to me, and I'd much rather have you inquire early about a Welcome Email that you haven't received promptly than have you wait for 72 hours or longer, wondering why you have received no response. Question: Will you license your quizzes to be used in a product, book, or online program that is separate from AllQuizzes.Net? Answer: No. The quizzes will only be licensed for use at the AllQuizzes.Net website. Question: Once I have purchased an Access Pass, may I link directly to the quizzes from my classroom web page? Answer: You may not link directly to the quizzes. However, you may link to the Quiz Sets by Title Page or to the Quiz Sets by Author Page. Please note that you may also not provide, on your web page or in any other public forum, the User Name and Password your students need to sign into the quizzes. Publicizing your User Name and Password is strictly prohibited. Question: I have a specific book that I would like for you to write quizzes on.
